What is a Vox Pop? Actually, that was the first time I've heard of the term "Vox Pop". Why do we need it? How to use Vox Pops in the classroom? How does the BBC team create Vox Pops for one of the popular Pearson courses 'Wider World'? All these questions have been answered at the webinar " Creating video Vox Pops for language learners -- Catherine Chapman & Peter Price" Thanks to both of them. A BBC producer and camera operator talked about the challenges and delights of shooting ELT video with real people on the streets of London. We got an insight into the work of the BBC team as they set about creating real life video vox pops aimed at the teenage language learner. Catherine and Petewill showed examples of the vox pops videos from Wider World, the new Pearson/BBC secondary course.
